ACADEMIC LOAD, CALCULATION AND PAYMENT OF ALLOWANCES?

1. How many units should I enrol for in each academic term?

All TSLB awards require undergraduate students to enroll in the full subject load of the program of study as per the academic regulation of the Higher Education Institute.
Payments will be disbursed as long as students meet all of the requirements for the award and are enrolled in at least the required full academic load or credits.

2. How will my allowances for each academic term be calculated and paid?

Allowances for each academic term will be calculated based on the subject load.

A study load of less than 50% of the allowable units in an academic term is deemed to be a part-time load and may lead to the termination of the award and/or payment of the allowances on a pro-rata basis.

For all other loads other than full load, allowances will be on paid on a pro-rata basis.
For Example, if your total allowance is $2000 per Semester and you are enrolled for only 3 units and the required full load is 4 units, then the total allowance paid for the academic term will be calculated as 3/4 of $2000.00. That is $1500.00.

TSLB reserves the right to pay your allowance in two or more batches. For example, 50% before the mid-term break and 50% after the break.

3. What happens if I wish to withdraw from a unit after the tuition has been tagged/paid and allowances paid?

Students must also remain enrolled in at least the required full academic. If a student has dropped enrolment below the full load requirement, the scholarship may be cancelled.

If a student completely withdraws from the HEI or from a unit after payment of tuition and/or allowances for the academic term, any TSLB scholarships will be cancelled from the students account and the student will be required to refund the payments already made by TSLB.
